On 4 August 2010, ASX listed AP Eagers Ltd publicly announced its intention to purchase all of the shares in Adtrans Group Limited which it does not presently own. AP Eagers is a highly reputable company operating in the automotive industry.

The Adtrans Board unanimously agreed to recommend that shareholders accept the offer in the absence of a superior offer.

On 22nd October 2010 AP Eagers announced it had achieved over 90% of acceptances and declared the offer free from competing conditions.  The special dividend will be paid on the 19th November 2010 and AP Eagers will pay Adtrans shareholders the remaining consideration on the 22nd November 2010.
